Beer isn't just here for the novelty. Its naturally occurring sugars help contribute to a rich, bubbly lather, while Moroccan clay and a specially brewed tea of calendula and comfrey bring even more purpose to the bar.
And no—it doesn't smell like beer.
Litsea cubeba brings a bright, lemony citrus note, paired with cool spearmint, earthy sage and a touch of floral geranium. The result is a crisp, citrus-herbal scent that's fresh without being overly sweet or floral.

Locally brewed beer replaces part of the liquid in this recipe, with its naturally occurring sugars helping contribute to the bar's rich, bubbly lather. The brewery may change from batch to batch—another way we can incorporate ingredients made close to home.
Calendula + Comfrey Herbal Tea
We don't just sprinkle herbs on top and call it botanical. Calendula and comfrey are steeped into a tea that's incorporated directly into the soap. Calendula is prized in skin care for its soothing properties, while comfrey naturally contains allantoin and mucilage and has a long history of use in preparations designed to condition and comfort the skin.
Moroccan Clay
Adds natural color and silky slip while helping lift away excess oil and impurities as you cleanse.
Crushed Hops
Because if you're making beer soap, you might as well commit. Crushed hops add another botanical element and a touch of texture to the bar.
Litsea Cubeba, Spearmint, Sage + Geranium Essential Oils
Bright lemony citrus from litsea cubeba meets cool spearmint and earthy sage, balanced with a touch of geranium for a fresh, clean scent with plenty of character.
