How We Reduce Our Environmental Impact at Rocker Soaps - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Here at Rocker Soaps, we are passionate about preserving our planet for future generations.

What sets us apart:

1.      Reduce – We buy our raw materials in bulk to reduce the amount of additional packing waste. Most of our base oils are purchased in 55-gallon drums so there is less plastic, less carbon emissions, and less waste! Our labeled soaps are designed to reduce the amount of packaging vs. other handmade soaps.

2.      Reuse – Whenever possible we reuse shipping packaging to reduce the amount of new waste that goes into our landfills. While this process adds time to fulfill each order, we believe that reusing plastic that would otherwise end up in a landfill is an exceptional way to say thank you to mother earth.

3.      Recycle – Not only do we use our local single source recycling service, we also bring all our #2 plastics, plastic bags, and plastic lids to a specialty recycling center in Wilmington, DE. Visit Eco Plastic Products of Delaware to learn how you can donate or purchase recycled goods. They offer a wide array of Ecco Plastics from park benches to golf accessories.

4.      In 2023, Rocker Soaps made the switch from a vegan based oil blend to featuring local animal fats. We made this switch to reduce the environmental impact of our soaps! Not only does rendered animal fat make for a better bar of soap, but because we source from local grass-fed farms. We currently use grass-fed tallow from Power’s Farm in Townsend, DE. We acquire the tallow at our local farmer’s market that we both attend Sunday’s May-November in Newark, DE, therefore adding no additional carbon footprint from shipping!

5.      We are 100% Palm Oil Free! From the first batch of soap, we made over 10 years ago, Rocker Soaps has formulated their own recipes, never using palm oil.
